Named after Vasco da Gama, whose voyage carried him around the coast of Africa and into new waters, the Vasco was built with movement in mind.

At 6.25", this is our dedicated slicing shear. During slide and slice cutting, the Vasco moves seamlessly across the hair with very little resistance — allowing you to travel through a section rather than fight your way through it.

The secret is in the edge design. For roughly the first two-thirds of the cutting edge, the dynamic blade is intentionally blunted and paired against a fully sharpened mating blade. This creates the smooth, controlled movement you want from a dedicated slicing shear without aggressively grabbing the hair.

But the Vasco has a twist. Where many slicing shears begin to push hair away when you try to point cut, the final third of the Vasco's dynamic blade is fully sharpened. Paired with the fully sharpened mating blade, the tips regain the cutting action needed for clean, controlled point cutting.

That means you can slice through a section, transition to the ends and begin detailing without immediately reaching for another shear. Smooth when you want movement. Sharp when you need precision. The Vasco doesn't just move through hair. It sails through it.
