At first glance, a 30-tooth shear may look familiar. The Vespucci is anything but traditional. At 5.75", its ultra-lightweight construction, slight offset and removable tang create a comfortable, manoeuvrable shear designed for controlled refinement. But what truly separates the Vespucci is what happens between the blades.
The 30-tooth blade is fully sharpened, with no serrations or notches cut into the teeth. Hair is allowed to enter, cut and release rather than becoming trapped between the teeth — a common cause of harsher, more visible lines when using a traditional blending shear.
On the opposite side, the solid blade is intentionally blunted. Rather than acting like a razor against the hair, grabbing and pulling as the shear closes, it works with the sharpened teeth to create a softer, more controlled refining action.
The result is a 30-tooth shear built less around blending a line after it's created and more around refining the hair without creating that line in the first place. Light in the hand. Clean through the section. Soft in the finish. This isn't a traditional blender. It's a different way to refine.
