At 7.0", the Columbus is the longest shear in our lineup — built for the barber or hairstylist who wants maximum reach and coverage without giving up stability at the tip.
Length alone doesn't make a great long shear. Too many 7.0" designs stretch a thin blade profile across a longer platform, creating flex and instability toward the tips. Your hand ends up working harder to control a shear that should be doing more of the work for you.
The Columbus takes a different approach. A more dominant spine and substantial blade profile give it the rigidity a 7.0" shear needs. The added stability keeps the blades controlled through the entire cut, allowing you to take advantage of the extra length without fighting the shear at the tips.
